“The investigation process” report – now available in English

the 8 November 2018

The English version of the Industrial Safety Report “The investigation process following major technological accidents” has just been published and is available to download (for free) from the Icsi website.

Published in 2017 by the eponymous discussion group, this report presents an in-depth analysis of the different technical safety investigation processes that currently exist in various sectors, both in France and internationally, in order to identify areas for improvement.

Our aim is to improve how the various technical safety investigations are organised, and work together when a major technological accident occurs in France, and examine how they articulate with the judicial enquiry. Improving technical safety investigation practices is an important element as it helps to acculturate people to the need to take risks into consideration and the evaluation of the measures that are taken. It also contributes to improving the level of trust of participants in the public debate on classified installations”, says Daniel Darets, Icsi Secretary General and moderator of the discussion group.
