Safety Cultures, Safety Models: our 4th Springer publication

the 5 October 2018

FonCSI’s 4th book in the SpringerBriefs in Safety Management series has just been published. Dedicated to safety culture and safety models, this open access book is the result of wide-reaching discussions by leading international experts in the field. Read it now!

In 2016, FonCSI launched a short, innovative research project – a strategic analysis – on the theme Safety Culture and Safety Models.

In particular, the foundation invited around twenty international experts to an academic seminar to discuss the topic. Participants included:

  • Stian Antonsen (Sintef, Norway)
  • Mathilde Bourrier (University of Geneva, Switzerland)
  • Dominic Cooper (BSMS Inc., USA)
  • Gudela Grote (ETH Zurich, Switzerland)
  • Frank Guldenmund (TU Delft, the Netherland)
  • Andrew Hopkins (Australian National University, Australia)
  • David Marx (Outcome Ingenuity, USA)
  • Jean Pariès (Dédale SA, France)
  • Edgar Schein (MIT Sloan School of Management, USA).

The book, Safety Cultures, Safety Models is the result of this seminar, and the work carried out by the group set up by the FonCSI to examine the subject in detail. Group members were: Olivier Guillaume (EDF R&D), Nicolas Herchin (Engie), Jean-Christophe Le Coze (Ineris), Christian Neveu (SNCF), Philippe Noël (Total) and Dounia Tazi (Icsi).

Congratulations, and thank you again to all the authors!
