ICSI's education and training activities

Improving safety through education

The Institute for an Industrial Safety Culture proposes training courses that cover a wide range of aspects related to risk management and safety, from hazard identification to risk assessment to societal acceptability of hazardous industrial activity, ranging from safety instrumented systems, process safety to the analysis of human and organizational factors of safety. We also organize information sessions that aim to help different stakeholders discuss the issues related to industrial safety, with a shared vocabulary and common understanding of the fundamentals. Finally, certain modules concern the regulatory and legal aspects of risk management in France.

Different forms of training are available:

Our day to day contact with industry, with local government, NGOs and trade union representatives ensures that our training courses correspond to real and up to date needs. The quality of our training courses is assured by the expertise of training staff, who come from our industrial partners or from academia. ICSI's education activities are based on case studies and on interaction with trainees, on highly qualified and experienced training staff, on the integration of results from our research activities.
