IFIS: Location

The first International Forum on Industrial Safety will be held in Toulouse in the south of France, from July 8^th to July 10^th 2008. Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France, with some 110 000 university students. The "ville rose", or "pink city" (named after the bricks used in historic buildings), offers beautiful romanesque architecture, and is not far from the Mediterranean sea or from the Pyrénées mountain range. Toulouse is also a center for the European aerospace and aviation industries. 

Some information that will be useful to participants:

• a database of hotels in Toulouse, managed by the Toulouse Office de Tourisme;
• the Toulouse-Blagnac international airport.
