Argentina: Icsi and the University of San Andrés collaborate on HOF training

the 3 March 2017

Executive training in human and organizational factors (HOF) in risk management will begin on 7 April at the University of San Andrés (Argentina). This training is the result of a collaboration between the prestigious Latin American university and Icsi.

World-class training in Spanish

This program, which has been running since 2011 at the University of San Andrés, provides the skills needed to integrate human and organizational factors into risk management in organizations. It is aimed at a wide range of safety decision-makers (HSE managers, union representatives, etc.) working in at-risk industrial sectors (energy, transport, aeronautics, chemicals, petrochemicals, etc.).

The program runs for six months and combines work and study. The training provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts needed to understand safety culture, and the role of individuals, teams and organizations in risk management. It consists of 3 modules: human factors, organizational factors and safety culture.

Safety education: innovative teaching through e-learning

Much of the teaching is delivered in e-learning modules via the Latin American version of Safety Education. This online platform is dedicated to safety culture, and offers students new educational tools: videos, case studies, quizzes, forums, etc.

This formula, which combines face-to-face courses and e-learning modules provides a dynamic environment for learning, offers a high level of organizational flexibility, and allows students from different countries in Latin America to participate.

The certificate is issued jointly by the University of San Andrés and Icsi.
